Preparing for a MRI

The patient should wear comfortable clothing that does not contain metal (warm-ups or jogging suit).

A gown will be provided if needed. The patient can continue their normal routine before and after the

MRI scan.

 

Please tell your doctor or the technologist if you have any of the following:

 

Implanted devices such as pacemakers, aneurysm clips, metal plates, metal replacements, artificial

heart valves

 

Hearing aids or metal tubes in your ear

 

If you have ever been a metal worker, or have been injured by metal that may still be lodged in your body

 

If you have ever had heart, brain, eye, or ear surgeries
